Go to the Delete My Account page on Yahoo and fill in your username. Then, follow the instructions to cancel your account.
Open the Chrome browser and go to Settings. Go to the left pane and choose Search engine from the drop-down list. From the drop-down list, select your preferred search engine. Now click on Manage search engines in order to continue. Select Remove from list next to Yahoo from the three dots menu.
Check the boxes next to the emails you want to select. Alternatively, click the Select All button at the top of the page. To select all displayed messages, clickthe Select All icon. If prompted, click Ok.
Your account will not be cancelled, and you will be able to use it as usual. You’ll continue to receive emails from your contacts, but you won’t be able to send or receive them via Yahoo Groups.
Your computer is most likely infected with malware if your default search engine(Google) switches to Yahoo automatically when you normally use Chrome, Safari, or Firefox to browse the web. The ideal solution is to reset your browser’s preferences. This should prevent the Yahoo redirect virus from causing problems for you.
