To delete your Skype account without deleting your Microsoft account, you must first unlink your Microsoft account. Disclaimer: It will take some time for the Skype account to be removed from the database.

If you’ve done so, closing your Skype account permanently will also eliminate your Microsoft account. As a result, unlinking the connections is critical to ensure that you may still utilize Microsoft’s other services after deleting Skype from the list.

Launch the Skype program on your PC. Select Settings from the top left corner of your screen. Select Settings from the drop-down menu in the upper left corner. Scroll down and select Close your account on the right-side panel. To confirm your account, re-enter your password.

If you cancel your account, it will be permanently deleted when Microsoft deletes your account. You will no longer be able to access old conversations, files, or conversations.

Click the Start button on the taskbar. On your desktop, open Skype. Select your Skype name in the top left corner. When a pop-up appears, scroll down and select Settings. Select Close Your Account from the right-hand column. To continue, check your username and password.
