If you don’t see Delete Account listed in the available options, then you will need to create an email address before deleting your account. To create one click on “Set Up An Email Address” and follow the onscreen instructions. Keep in mind that without an email address, you’ll not be able to sign in to Yahoo! Mail again once your account has been deleted.
Please be aware that deleting your Yahoo! Mail account will also delete any other accounts that are linked to it (such as Flickr or Messenger). You can delete an email account from your device:
From the Home screen, tap Apps.
Under Settings tap Accounts.
Tap your Google or Exchange® Email account. If you have shown multiple accounts in the Accounts screen, tap Menu and choose to Show all accounts to display a full listing of your accounts.
In the Account options menu, tap Remove account.
