To remove the account from your devices, go to Settings>iCloud and switch Mail off. You can’t delete an iCloud email account from your ID once it’s been established. You don’t have to use it for email, however. To erase the account from your gadgets, go to Settings>iCloud and uncheck Mail.

I’m sorry to hear that you are unable to delete one of your iPhone’s email accounts. If the email account is a business one, it may have a profile on your phone. To get rid of the profile, go to Settings > General > Profile and then tap Remove Profile.
