If you don’t want to keep another social media account, you can delete it instead of deleting Gmail. So before you delete Google+, consider downloading your data. Apart from that, the Google Plus Share button may not be used on any website, and all app connections will be lost.
To begin, log in to your Google account. Then, go to Gmail.com or the Google home page. If there’s a link called “Google+ Profile” under your name and email address in that window, look for it. Select “settings” from the left-hand menu of your Google+ profile.
On a support page, Google notes that the Google+ app can’t be deleted from certain Android devices, but it may be disabled on all Android devices.

To see whether you have a Google Plus account, go to the Google or Gmail homepages. After signing in, go to either the Google homepage or your Gmail account. Select your profile picture in the top right corner of the page. The Google Plus link will bring you to your own Google Plus account page.
