Your Google Hangouts profile is linked to your Google account, and you can’t remove it without also removing your Google account. Because Hangouts are integrated into your Google account, the only way to eliminate them is to delete your entire Google account.
On your computer, go to hangouts.google.com or gmail.com and select a conversation. Select Delete chat. If you’re sure, click Delete.
Open the Settings menu. in scroll down to locate “Google Hangouts. tap the “Force Stop” button, then use the Disable” option.
Then, choose a name for the contact. Click on the 3-dots on the right side of the selection to remove them. Select Hangouts from the drop-down menu. Choose a name from there. click on 3-dots. Delete should be selected as well as confirmed by clicking on Yes and OK:
Go to your Google Account’s Data & Privacy menu. Delete your account by going to “Your data & privacy choices.” To delete your account, go to the Support page on our website and follow the steps outlined there.
