Open up the App Store on your iPhone and find Messenger. Tap on it to open the app’s page. Once you’re there, tap the “Delete” button next to Messenger. You’ll be asked if you want to delete it from your device or just remove it from your home screen. Tap the latter option so that you can still access it in the future if need be.

To uninstall Messenger, go to the application page on your phone and press the “UNINSTALL” button.

You can also simply decline to be friends with that person. This will not block them but will stop them from showing up in your “friends” list on the app.

To stop people seeing when you’re active on Messenger, go to your account settings and scroll down to Privacy and Security. From there, select “See when I’m active” and set it to “No one.

You can unsync your Facebook contacts from your Iphone by going to Settings>Facebook>Contacts. From there you will be able to select which contacts you want to sync with your phone.
