Under Manage your connected accounts, move the cursor over the account you wish to delete, and then press Delete. Select Save. You may remove email messages from the linked account after you’ve removed them from Outlook.
You can remove accounts that were established later on, but you cannot delete old ones. The account is then confirmed by Outlook. Yes, click Delete Account.
Close the Settings menu and open it again. Open Accounts. Click on Email & accounts. Select the account you wish to delete from your list of enabled email accounts. Select the Manage option from the drop-down menu. Click Remove Account From This Device, then Delete. After that, click Done to finish deleting your account.
When you delete an account from Microsoft Outlook and Windows Mail, you won’t be able to access it in either program, and the locally stored data will be erased. The account will not be deleted, however.
The Outlook data files may be found by going to the Account Settings > Data Files tab. If the PST file is designated as the “default data file” for the profile, you will not be able to remove it until another data file has been designated as the “default.
