From the HOME Menu, choose System Settings. Select a user account to access the Profile Settings by scrolling down. Select Delete User from the bottom of the settings page. Select Delete next and then Next.

A deleted Nintendo Network ID cannot be reused to establish a new account. Once it is eliminated, the username is no longer available. If you don’t want to utilize your Nintendo Network ID or access purchases made with it (on Wii U or Nintendo 3DS), it should only be removed if you do not wish to use it or access them again.

After selecting Other Settings, log in to your Nintendo Account and choose Delete Account from the drop-down menu. Select the Delete Account option at the bottom of the page. Read through any on-screen notices regarding account cancellation. After you’ve digested the information, select Deactivate and Remove.

Go to your Nintendo Account and sign in. Select User info at the top of the page, then scroll down to the email section and click Edit. To get a verification code, send an email to the address on file.

From the HOME Menu, choose SYSTEM SETTINGS. Click on Nintendo Network ID Settings. Select Other from the drop-down menu. Click on Delete Nintendo Network ID. If prompted, enter your four-digit PIN and press OK. Select your reason for deletion from the options presented on the screen.
