You might like Reddit if:
– You are interested in sharing interesting links and photos, serious or not-so-serious discussions on topics ranging from silly to intellectual to controversial. – You enjoy participating in interactive crowdsourced projects like Wikipedia and mapping local businesses (all on Reddit). – You want join Reddit meetups held monthly in most major cities (including a Reddit Meetup taking place near you). If you want to delete Reddit posts, I’m sorry to say Reddit makes this incredibly difficult. Reddit doesn’t make it obvious how to do anything, and deleting Reddit posts is no exception. Reddit supports an all-or-nothing approach where once something has been posted on the site, it can never be deleted (even if it contained illegal material or personal information of the poster’s wife)! Reddit is so sure of this, Reddit has a page on their help site describing how Reddit handle requests to delete Reddit posts. Reddit says that it allows the poster to modify or remove Reddit comments and messages as he wishes; however, Reddit does not allow Reddit post authors to delete Reddit posts once they’ve been posted. The only reason I know about how to do this is because my comment was deleted from a thread, but no one would tell me why (even when I asked). With all the forms of social media available today, there’s good reason for new users not to adopt Reddit. They might get frustrated like me and go somewhere else!
If you hide a post in your account, it instead becomes part of your ‘Hidden’ folder and won’t appear anymore on your News Feed or be visible to anyone unless they search for that specific post. To continue hiding the advert, some more steps must be done such as deleting it.
You can’t delete posts from your Timeline that are already seen by others. If you want to delete a post, make sure no one’s spotted it yet.If you don’t know how to undo the post, you can always set up bulkdeletion: go to the Edit Post page for the post and uncheck all of the boxes under “Delete Selected Posts.”
Although you cannot delete posts made by other people, you can choose to hide these posts and they will not appear in your Facebook feed.
When you delete a post, the karma it gave you is unaffected.
New Facebook ‘Hide from Timeline option to post content
In October of 2015, Reddit announced that it would be removing the ability to downvote posts and comments. This change was made in an effort to “improve the quality of discourse on the site.” The idea is that if downvoting is no longer an option, people will be more likely to share their opinions and engage in constructive dialogue.
Downvotes on Reddit can mean a variety of things, but often they indicate that a user doesn’t agree with or like what you’ve posted. If you’re getting downvoted frequently, it might be a good idea to take a look at your posts and try to figure out what’s causing people to react negatively. You could also try posting in different subreddits, where the audience might be more receptive to your content.
There is no limit to the number of downvotes that can be removed from Yik Yak.
Reddit karma is a system that allows users to rate the comments and submissions of other users. The ratings are used to determine the user’s “karma score.” The higher the karma score, the more trusted the user is on the site.
There could be a number of reasons why your comment got downvoted. It might not have been relevant to the question, or it might have been off-topic. It could also be that other users didn’t find your comment helpful or informative.
