Select Deactivate Your Account from the drop-down menu to deactivate your account on Twitter. Log in to your Twitter account. On the left sidebar, click the three-dot menu icon and choose Settings & Privacy. Select Deactivate Your Account from the drop-down menu after reading through the terms and conditions.
When you quit your Twitter account, everything you’ve published, tweeted, liked, or commented on is erased from the site for up to 30 days. Depending on how active your online presence was before you deactivated it, this procedure may take minutes or several days.
Select Deactivate my account from the drop-down menu. Go to Twitter and sign in to your account. At the top right corner, select your profile icon. From the drop-down menu, choose Settings and Privacy. Scroll down until you get to the bottom of the page and click Deactivate your account.
Go to Twitter and sign in. Select settings and privacy from the drop-down menu. From the menu, choose to Deactivate Your Account. Confirm that you want to deactivate your account by re-entering your password.
Your DMs and friends lists will be deleted if you deactivate. They’ll reappear if you sign back up, but they’ll be permanently removed if you don’t. Users’ news feeds will also delete your postings. If someone has retweeted or liked the material you offered, they won’t see it when you deactivate.
