When you deactivate your Slack account, all of your messages will be deleted. You will no longer be able to log into your account, but the messages that are sent to you before you deactivate it will still be there.
You can downgrade Slack to free by clicking the option on the top right corner of the screen.
If you have a paid subscription, you will be charged the annual fee. If you have a free trial, your account will be deleted.
Go to your account settings and select the “Upgrade” option.
