Go to account.microsoft.com/services and supply your login information. Locate your subscription in the Services and Subscriptions section. Select Manage from the drop-down menu. Select Cancel from the Cancel window that appears. In the confirmation box that appears, choose Confirm Cancellation .
If the 30-day trial period has passed, you can cancel your Microsoft 365 Family membership at any time and not be charged. If you see a Cancel link under Microsoft 365 Family, select Cancel to terminate your trial. If you don’t see a Cancel link but do see a Turn on recurring billing button, recurring billing is turned off.
On the Services & Subscriptions page, look for your Microsoft 365 subscription and then choose Manage. Select one of the following options: If you see a Turn off recurring billing link, select it to turn recurring billing off. If you see a Cancel button, click it to cancel the subscription.
You won’t be able to create new documents or edit existing ones if you cancel your subscription. You don’t have to uninstall Office. If you keep it, you can still access the files that were generated during your active subscription or files sent to you by others. They will appear as read-only documents in this case.
On October 5th, Microsoft will launch Office 2021, the next consumer version of its productivity suite. It’s a one-time payment that’ll be available on both Windows and macOS. It’s for individuals who don’t want to subscribe to Microsoft 365.
