Give your bank a stop payment order at least three business days before the next scheduled payment to prevent it from being made. You can give the order in person, by phone, or by writing. Sending your bank a stop payment order may be required to cease future payments.
You might be able to reverse your credit card payments by informing your card issuing bank of the same before the payment due date. If a Credit Card payment is not stopped, it will appear on your account as authorization and charge. Online refund processing is usually faster and more secure than paper-based processes used in brick-and-mortar stores.
To cancel or close a credit card, go to the bank’s official website and fill out a cancellation/closure form. Fill out and submit the cancellation/closure form on the bank’s official website.
