Choose Payment Methods in the navigation pane. Make sure that a different valid payment option is selected as the default for your account. Next to the card you want to delete, choose Delete.
When you shut down your AWS account, you must also shut down all of your resources or face further costs. Due to the fact that you closed your account, on-demand billing for your resources will cease. You continue to be charged for these items until the reservation period has ended.
You’ll receive several emails from AWS informing you that you need to pay the outstanding amount. If you don’t pay, your account will be suspended and ultimately terminated after two months (data will be deleted).
